The NASCAR Cup Series is in Las Vegas this weekend for the Pennzoil 400, a 400-mile race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Entering this race, Christopher Bell is on a roll, winning the last three races and becoming the first driver with three consecutive wins since NASCAR moved to this current generation of car, which had served as a way to level the playing field.

Last weekend, Bell won at Phoenix Raceway, leading 105 of the 312 laps in the Shriners Children’s 500. He was followed by Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Josh Berry, and William Byron. Joey Logano led 81 laps and finished 13th, while Ryan Preece led 34 laps and finished 15th after a late penalty.

Kyle Larson won this race last spring, marking four consecutive years that a Hendrick Motorsports driver went to the victory lane in the March Las Vegas race. Can the team do it again this year, or will someone else hoist the trophy? Maybe Bell can earn his fourth consecutive win, something rarely done across the history of NASCAR.
