Nottinghamshire: Dillon Pennington and Ben Slater sign new deals

Nottinghamshire fast bowler Dillon Pennington and batter Ben Slater have signed new deals to remain at Trent Bridge until the end of the 2027 season.
Pennington, 25, claimed 31 County Championship wickets in his first season with Notts and earned a call-up to the England Test squad in July, although he is yet to make his debut for the national side.
Meanwhile, 33-year-old Slater was Notts’ second-highest scorer in red-ball games, with 949 runs at an average of over 45, as they narrowly avoided relegation.
He also averaged just under 57 in the One Day Cup, having amassed 498 runs in the 50-over competition that ended at the group stage for Notts last term.
“Ben has developed into a really reliable top-order batter, and his stats speak for themselves,” said Nottinghamshire head coach Peter Moores.
