Woman smashes ‘beast of a breakfast’ challenge and beats her previous time
The Bicester Bean’s Beast of a Breakfast was taken on by Nicola, whose surname has not been disclosed, on Saturday, February 1, who completed it in 39 minutes and four seconds.
She is one of around 10 who has successfully completed it.
Top of the leaderboard is YouTube star and Europe’s number one female competitive eater, Leah Shutkever, who finished the breakfast challenge in eight minutes and two seconds.

Alyson Clifton, owner of the cafe, with Nicola (Image: Facebook) The challenge has been running since 2019, and Alyson Clifton, the owner of Bicester Bean Coffee Shop and Cafe, said it “all started with a joke” with one of her regular customers, David Simpson.
“At the time we only did a single or double breakfast and he jokingly said: ‘Oooh, I could easily do a triple, so our triple breakfast went on the menu and next time he came in he said give me a challenge and that’s how it all started’,” she explained.
“I dread to think just how many have attempted it and failed, but definitely a fair few hundred.

“I think there’s about nine or 10 that have smashed it.
“Nicola who smashed it on Saturday had already smashed it last year but wanted to improve her time, which she did.”
Anyone who completes the challenge gets it for free, and those that don’t pay a £25 but a fiver of that goes to the amazing local cancer charity in Launton The Hummingbird Centre
